Rain rain go away, please please come back in six months....that's the way it usually works in southern California. It's been raining in Los Angeles for two whole days. I'm expecting Noah and his arc any day now. It's cold, wet, and everyone has some variation of a cold. I'm annoyed. I feel like I've been lied to by Tony Toni Tone who sang "It Never Rains In Southern California." I hate being lied to!! When will the deluge stop, will the sun ever come back, those dark heather grey clouds are sure to blow away soon, right...Well it better, my beautiful cocoa skin can't take much more of this clammy cold weather. I tried getting a new lip balm from the The Body Shop the other day. The salesgirl swore it keeps lips moisturize and it tastes really yummy. She got half of it right. The $6 almond balm did taste good. Unfortunately, it only keep my parched pucker soft and supple for 30 minutes. I hate being lied to. The next day I returned it. And when the perky pixie asked did I use it, I quickly said "sure did" with a smirk. I went back to my old faithful. I'm telling ya there's nothing better than good old fashioned Vaseline to cure the dryness that creeps up on all of us this time of year.

Of course you don't have to get the family size tub, I mean you could it does last a longtime, but I use the Vaseline Lip Therapy. It runs circles around all those fancy schmancy lip balms on the market and it's only $1.69
There's nothing like old school beauty treatments. In fact, a friend told me that Tyra Banks makeup artist Valente (yes that's his name) uses Milk of Magnesia under Tyra's makeup. It's like a natural mattifier! I've also read that it's excellent against oily skin, acne, and large pores. And it's only like $7 bucks at your local drugstore. I bet during the summer Milk of Magnesia is like heaven in a bottle against the inevitable oil slick down your face. I'm gonna try it and keep you guys posted. Pray for sunshine:-)
