Happy New Year my fellow fashionistas! Since the 2008 arrived, I've been in the beauty doldrums. I've been super bored with my looks. I'm ready to shake things up a bit. My BFF said "2008 is the year of reinvention" and I totally agree. I'm gonna go crazy in 2008. Instead of wearing my usual sheer girly pink lip gloss, I'm gonna branch out and try and deeper sheer girly pink lip gloss. Hey, it's a start. Baby steps... In fact, I've already sorta started my reinvention. I actually wore my shoulder length hair bed-head tousled today, instead of the usual sassy, sleek, yet straight. I got rave reviews from my fans. I even stopped to sign a few autographs and take a few pics for some of my die hard supporters. I kinda had the bob cut of 2007 and it's growing out, so I was thrilled to immerse myself in the rebirth of my inner glamgrrl. It got me thinking...whoever said change is good was truly brilliant, cause it's sooo true!! Divas this is our year to Be Glam and reimerge as a card carrying glamazon, by just trying something new. If you've been rocking the long hair, get some bangs to accentuate your peepers like mom to be Jessica Alba.
If you've been holding on to the Donna Summer world of curls look, it needs to be ironed out for 2008. Alicia Keys did it, and she looks unbelievably sophisticated! (not that she didn't look great before)
A change can even come in the form of a hair color. Beyonce' left her gold lame' locks behind for a deep auburn. Although I'm pretty sure it was a lace front wig, change is change, and B looked glamorous!
Or maybe instead of the same old same old lipstick, try a little fiesty jolt of color ala' Jada Pinkett-Smith.
