The 2008 MTV Video Music Awards is sooo OVER! It was such a yawner that I had to force myself to watch. It was just missing the frenetic energy and gossip worthy performances from VMA's gone by. Who could forget Madonna's "Like A Virgin" vintage performance or Britney Spears on stage meltdown last year. The fashions of the night didn't fare much better. Best dressed was hard to come by and I'm certain some folks celebrity stylists will be fired immediately.
Ciara dazzled in a Dolce and Gabbana silver mini-dress. The patent leather weight belt is uber glam. But what's up with Ci-Ci-s hair? Who's responsible for this hair show fiasco? It looked like someone literally slapped a old school kitchen mop on her beautiful head!!! My girl crush
Rihanna kilt it during her two performances, but was a big disappoint on the red carpet. The printed skirt paired with "The Fifth Element" bustier probably could've worked, but the white pole dancing stilettos was an abomination. It's just too much...matches please!! Rih Rih can totally do better. Former American Idol winner
Jordin Sparks was too adorable in sequins black strapless frock with a hot pink sash. I thought Jordin look youthful, stylish, and completely age appropriate. I wasn't over the moon about her hair, but her make-up was gorgeous.
Christina Aguilera, I'm at a lost for words. However, my mind is racing with thoughts that go something like this... What the *%&%$#@*%$#!!! Hopefully, next year's VMA's will be more fashionable
(sigh).
